Navigating the Depths of Self-Discovery: A Journey with Psilocybin

Recently, in our community, someone shared their experience with microdosing psilocybin without significant effects on anxiety and depression. They tried larger doses with mixed results—experiencing euphoria but no lasting relief from their struggles. Now, they’re considering a 3-gram dose and are curious about what to expect.

Here’s my take, based on personal experience (take it with a grain of salt, or better yet, a dose of skepticism):

When I microdose, typically around 0.15g every 3rd day over 3-4 months, I often notice increased creativity, sharper focus, and a broader understanding of complex concepts. It’s like my mind has more “bandwidth,” and my emotional intelligence feels heightened. Overall, the results have been positive, but it’s a journey that goes beyond just the dosage.

When it comes to larger doses, something in the range of 3-4g tends to offer a breakthrough experience. One of the things that was mentioned was feeling cold during the experience. Was it really cold, or was it just your nervous system reacting to the intense stimulation? Our bodies often label sensations that we don’t fully understand—like how anticipation can feel like fear.

I’ve found that with doses around 3-4g, you’re more likely to activate different “channels” in the mind, moving beyond the threshold into a fully immersive experience. But the key is the set and setting. A 3g dose at a death metal concert will take you somewhere entirely different than sitting around a mountain campfire with friends playing natural music.

Often, it takes a deep trip to even know where to start looking within yourself.
